VAINGLORY
CHARACTER CONCEPT ART
During my time working on Vainglory at Super Evil Megacorp, I contributed to developing the game’s visual identity through character concept art and worldbuilding. My focus was on designing heroes, skins, and ability icons that reflected the rich lore and distinct personality of each faction while maintaining gameplay readability. Working closely with art directors, animators, and FX artists, I translated narrative and gameplay ideas into compelling visual designs that enhanced player immersion. The fast-paced, collaborative environment challenged me to balance aesthetic appeal with technical constraints, ensuring that every design felt cohesive within Vainglory’s vibrant universe. It was an opportunity to help shape one of the first truly competitive mobile MOBAs—where artistry, strategy, and innovation came together to create a visually striking and memorable experience.
ENVIRONMENT CONCEPT ART
As Concept Artist leading the development on Vainglory’s 5v5 map expansion, I directed the concept art team in establishing the visual language, mood, and cohesive world design for the game’s largest environment to date. I collaborated closely with the environment, FX, and design teams to ensure that artistic vision supported clear gameplay readability while remaining true to Vainglory’s distinctive style. My work included producing key art, visual development guides, and paintovers that unified the team’s output. This project allowed me to combine creative leadership with hands-on design, evolving Vainglory’s aesthetic into a richer, more immersive competitive experience.
